Happy Christmas

I made this card for the Dies R Us 'Use a Die Cut Sentiment as the Focus' challenge.  I'm also entering Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Use a Die Cut', Crafty Cardmakers 'Lots of Layers', ABC Christmas Challenge 'O for Old' (I used old dies and papers), Die Cut Divas 'Christmas in July' and Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes'.   As I'm on a mission to use my snippets mountain, I'm also heading to the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Card blank: 7" x 5" white silk tent fold
Dies: Creative Expressions 'Contemporary Happy Christmas', Spellbinders Nestabilities 'Classic Ovals Large' and 'Lacey Ovals'
Embossing: Crafts-Too 'Twinkle' embossing folder
Snippets: Gold pearlescent and whilte silk card, patterned paper

I trimmed the paper, layered it onto gold card and attached it to the card front.  I die cut a Lacey Oval and sentiment from gold card and set them aside.  I die cut an oval from white card and then die cut the sentiment from the centre.  I attached double sided tape to the rear of the oval and inlaid the sentiment before embossing it with the Twinkle folder.  The sentiment was layered onto the Lacey Oval and attached to the centre of the card.

Happy Birthday

I made this card for a teenager's birthday and am entering Crafty Cardmakers 'Tic, Tac, Toe' challenge (I've chosen Summer / Two or More Patterned Papers / Die Cuts), Crafty Friends 'Man/Boy' challenge,  Seize the Birthday 'Anything Goes' and Crafty Calendar Challenge 'Anything Goes'.

Card blank: 6" x 6" white silk
Image: Lili of the Valley 'Action Time' Art Pad
Die: Memory Box 'Stitched Happy Birthday Circle'
Paper: Lili of the Valley 'Father Knows Best' and Country Gent

I covered the front of the card blank with blue paper and then attached a strip of brown stripe paper across the centre.  I trimmed the top and bottom of the precoloured image and attached it across the centre of the striped paper.  I die cut the 'Happy Birthday Circle' from blue paper and snipped the circle from the outside before attaching the sentiment to the card.

I made this card for the Less is More 'Colours of Your Country's Flag' challenge.  I'm also entering Crafting with Dragonflies 'Punches and/or Dies' challenge, Dies R Us Challenge 'Layers' and Die Cut Divas 'Christmas in July'.  All the card is from my snippets drawer so I'm also heading off to the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Card blank: 6" x 4" white hammer
Die: Creative Expressions 'Festive Collection - Joy'
Embossing: Kars tan embossing mat
Snippets: Red and blue pearlescent, white hammer

I trimmed the red card and attached it to the card blank leaving a small border around the edge.  The white hammer card was trimmed slightly smaller and I die cut JOY from the centre.  This panel was then attached to the card.  I die cut JOY from blue card and inlaid the letters and the white centre of the O.  I then die cut the fancy JOY from red card and attached it with Stick and Stay glue.

Blusher the Reindeer

This month's Christmas Cards All Year Round challenge is 'Anything Goes'.  I'm on a mission to use lots of old toppers and papers so have used a cute pre-coloured image and coordinating paper for my quick Christmas card.

I'm entering the Holly and Ivy Challenge 'Anything Goes', Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Anything Goes' and Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra.

Card blank: 6" x 6" white matt
Image and paper: Making Cards 'Blusher the Reindeer' (magazine freebie'
Card: Bright green mirri
Other: Holly Stickles, Wink of Stella

I trimmed the red spotty paper, layered it onto green card and attached it to the card front.  The image was trimmed, layered onto green card and attached to the centre.  To finish I highlighted the Reindeer with a Wink of Stella and added Holly Stickles to the tree.
